This page describes the current Tumpeet development build and this website. Tumpeet is still in development; release details may change before it reaches the App Store.

On this website

The music samples and metronome create sound in your browser after you press play. This website doesn’t request microphone access, record you, or upload audio.

The motion switch saves a single preference in your browser’s local storage under tumpeet-motion. It remembers whether you’ve turned decorative motion off. Clearing the site’s stored data removes it. Your operating system’s Reduce Motion preference takes priority.

Fonts, app screenshots, and artwork are served with the site. There is no newsletter form or analytics code in this website. Cloudflare hosts this public website and processes normal web requests.

In the iPhone app

Tumpeet estimates pitch and note entrances on your device. Microphone access is requested when you choose to start listening practice. Quiet Practice is available without it.

Audio recording is optional and off by default. When you choose to keep a recording, it is saved on your device for the retention period set in the app. The app provides recording deletion and deliberate sharing controls. It doesn’t automatically upload recordings.

Practice results and preferences use local storage. The practice loop doesn’t require an account. A Soundprint is built from usable playing attempts; quiet exercises aren’t treated as acoustic measurements.

A little movement

In the app, device tilt moves the decorative 3D trumpet. Motion data stays in memory and isn’t recorded or uploaded. The illustration stops following tilt when Reduce Motion or Low Power Mode is enabled, or when the app leaves the foreground.

On this website, the decorative trumpet and phone respond to your pointer. No device-sensor permission is requested. Decorative movement pauses when it is offscreen or the page is hidden, and the motion switch lets you turn it off.

Your controls

• Choose whether to enable the microphone in the app.
• Keep local recording off, or delete recordings when you’re done.
• Use the app’s retention and data controls to manage what stays.
• Turn off decorative motion on the site or use your system’s Reduce Motion setting.
